Christine obtained her master's degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in 2003.
She also studied with Steven Clavey, a prolific writer and scholar of Chinese medicine. In addition to her formal studies of Chinese Medicine, Christine attended the The Shiva Center International 2003. There she studied Tibetan Buddhism, Buddhist meditation and Hatha Yoga.
Since beginning her practice of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Christine completed Lonny Jarrett's 2-year course, Clinical Integration, as well as Thea Elijah's Spirit of Herbs and Whole Heart Acupuncture series. Christine has also been a teacher assistant for both of these year-long courses since completing them. Christine continues to broaden and deepen her practice with ongoing study and continuing education.
Christine served on the board of the Connecticut Society of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CSAOM) for 2 years. During her time on the board, the CT community of Licensed Acupuncturists, with the help of some dedicated and amazing lay-folk, began an intensive and long-term legislation improvement process. This work to clarify and improve the definition and practice laws regarding Acupuncture and Chinese medicine here in the state of CT continues today.
Christine is licensed by the state of Connecticut to practice Acupuncture and has been since 2004. She is certified in the practice of Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, and Chinese Herbalogy by the National Certification Committee of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and a member of the CTSA (Connecticut Society of Acupuncturists).
Christine lives with her two sons Rasmus and Axel and her partner in love and life Ilmar, in Middletown CT. Look for pictures of the family in Christine's occasional newsletter!
